A reader sent us an email after they saw this diner listed on an Internet classified ad site. The Palace Diner, built by the Pollard Company of Lowell, MA came to town in 1927. It spent time about a mile away and later moved to its current location.

The Palace Diner is still for sale. It is the best place to get breakfast in town. Biddeford has seen a lot of revitalization downtown and more is happening all the time. I think this Diner could be really great if it were open more. Right now it's only open about 32 hours a week and only until 10:30 am.
It is usually quite busy during breakfast.
Thank you for writing. The diner was closed for the day when we visited three years ago. It's on our list to visit again. Maybe we can do some live blogging while we are there! Do they open at 6AM?
It may have arrived in Biddeford in 1927 but it did not get to this site until around 1980.
Thanks for the update!
