Blogging at Prospect Mountain Diner - Lake George, NY
edited 8/12/08
As with all our diner trips, we mapped the route in Garmin's nRoute.
Prospect Mountain Diner was our first stop of the day. We had a lot of ground to cover so our stop here was for pictures only. This 2007 Dinermite diner looks smaller than the 1950 Silk City it replaced. We had read of a planned addition to the right side of diner. At our visit we noticed this has yet to be started and additional seating is under a tent.
The smell of pancakes and syrup in the air wasn't going to distract us from the task at hand. Onto Bolton Beans.

You know. I just have no desire to go to the Prospect mountain Diner, even if it is only a hour+ away from me.
One of their long time employees, Rose, died just before the diner burned. Miss her and the old diner. Plus, the horredness (my opinion) of DinerMites....
I still laugh when I remember that 30-40 diners they produce per year quote from the owner of the company.
It was sad to not see the old Prospect Mountain Diner.
