The Hartford Courant reporter Alaine Griffin wrote about the continued effort to reopen O'Rourke's Diner.

The diner reopened the morning of February 11, 2008.

K. Paul Mallasch's Muncie Free Press article made a passing reference to the Plainfield Diner.

The Plainfield closed in December 2007 and reopened the following May as the U.S. 40 Diner.

Celanie Polanick of the Courier News reported the Time To Eat Diner in Bridgewater, New Jersey opened today.
