The transformation of the former Cecil's Trackside Diner took place outside Rob Hartmann's workshop which overlooks the Bradford County Airport in Towanda, Pennsylvania. During 2007 and 2008 we gained an appreciation for Gordon's amazing work on the Yellow Rose through Joseph Dupont's YouTube videos. It was through his videos we learned of the proposed name change to Spud Boy Lunch and its future location. Over the Thanksgiving holiday the diner was put on a flatbed and transported to Lanesboro, Minnesota. Gordon expects to have the diner open by mid-2009.

Gordon owned and restored two other diners: the Red Rose in Towanda, Pennsylvania and the Clarksville Diner once in Decora, Iowa.
