On this date in 2007, the former Moondance Diner of NYC closed it's doors. It's undergoing a restoration in LaBarge, Wyoming. The latest on the progress of the restoration may be found here.
On July 1, 1941 Arthur E. Sieber was awarded a patent on his "portable diner."
